Remembrance

Often we used to remember something else which is not related to present thought or act. For example, I remember deer whenever I used to see a particular news reader slim, with a beard in DD channel during my school days..(Don't remember his name). Then I remember the neem tree under which two of my friends(Niranjana and Sumathi- They call it as neem tree meeting) meet, on seeing the neem tree near my house... While seeing a dirty pool I used to remember Bharathi's lines  "சேற்றிலே  குழம்பலென்ன கண்ண பெருமானே ".Whenever I find fresh bakery buns, I remember the sincere studies(in the morning at 3 o'clock, during +2) encouraged by soft buns for us to eat...That taste still lingers in my mouth and never have tasted buns so soft after that... While reading Wordsworth's "The solitary Reaper", poonkuzhali's song "அலை கடலும் ஓய்ந்திருக்க, அகக் கடலும் பொங்குவதேன்"  ring in my heart...I even wonder Wordsworth would have heard this very same song(willingly suspending the disbelief). Whenever I hear this song of Seerkaali Govindarajan , "ஓடம் கடலினிலே, ஒருத்தி மட்டும் கரையினில்,உடலை விட்டு உயிர் பிரிந்து போகுதம்மா வெளியிலே..." I remember sad Dido of Carthage with a willow in her hand, standing in the seashore, wafting her hands towards her lover Aenius who is far away in his boat traveling towards his destiny. While hearing lines from Mudhal Mariyaadhai... "சுக ராகம் சோகம் தானே",  I remember the poetic lines... "Our sweetest songs are those that telleth the saddest tales" Here too willingly suspending the Age, language, and two different cultures...I see no difference. Because mind and heart with its intelligence, passions, goods, and odds are the same everywhere...Yes, remembrances are sometimes sweet and sweeter...And Often they are pleasurable treasuring in it full of pains...Pleasure in Pain and Pain in Pleasure...This Remembrance is a chain reaction in us to renew our past and to give new meaning to the present and future...
