Love-Myth,Literature and History

Everyone know this month is too special for lovers. This month I have decided to post topics upon Love. Love is present there right from the creation of mankind. Each age has popular lovers like Aandal-Thirumaal; Radha-Krishna; Kunthavai-Vandhiyaththevan;  Prithviraj - Samyukthai etc in Myth, Literature, and History.
Aandaal through her poems expressed her divine love towards God..No poet has expressed love as we find in the lines of Aandal... "Karpooram naarumo?, Kamalappoo naarumo? Thiruppavala chevvaai thaan thithithirukkumo? Marupposindha Madhavan than Vaaichchuvaiyum, naatramum Virupputru ketkinren, sollaazhi ven sange!".
Kudhavai saved her father's kingdom with the help of a chivalrous man (Vandhiyaththevan) and then felt in love with him. Married her beloved man and lived a marvelous life. Her love for Vandhiyaththevan never disturbed her love for her people and kingdom. Her insight into things and her farsight in a way deepened their love.
Prithviraj threw away even his crown for the sake of his love towards Samyukthai... Nehru introduces Prithviraj as a reckless lover to us...His perspective of Love analyzing its causes can be seen through the oncoming lines... "Prithviraj is a popular hero, still famous in song and legend, for reckless lovers are always popular. He carried away the girl he loved him from the very palace of her father, Jayachandra, King of Kanauj, defying an assembled host of princelings who had come to offer court to her. He won his bride for a brief while, but at the cost of a bitter feud with a powerful ruler and the lives of the bravest on both sides. The chivalry of Delhi and central India engaged in internecine conflict and there was a mutual slaughter. And so, all for the love of a woman, Prithviraj lost his life and throne, and Delhi, that seat of Empire, Passed into the hands of an invader from outside. But his love story is sung still and he is a hero, while Jayachandra is looked almost as a traitor"
